six different scenarios
Bright, vibrant and playful, each of these six storyboards focuses on water safety in different locations and situations. On page two of each, you’ll find the key learning points in both Irish and English. Use these points to discuss in a group setting how to be safe in and around each waterway. Use your own experiences or even our structured lesson plans to discuss the WHY? & BECAUSE in relation to each point.
Encourage the children to take turns with each storyboard asking them to identify the safe and unsafe behaviours in each scenario. The provided pointer is designed to also be a hand, so whenever a child engages, it reinforces our key message to hold hands near water. If your pointer has gone missing, why not help the children to make their own.
